drawing in the future

ILoveSketch, a 3D curve sketching system using a simple interface and gestures, creates NURBS curves in 3D space from sketched strokes that are represented by approximated beziers.  This has to be one of the most elegant interface and gestural principles i have ever seen while dealing with something as complex as virtual 3d space.  Very spiffy indeed. More useful however in an expanded premise; Sketched curve data could be used for the initial curves for Gordon Surfaces in transition to an actual polygonal structure. Wouldn’t that be nifty? More information can be found at Seok-Hyung Bae’s site at the university of Toronto, or the page set for ILoveSketch.
