creative review has an interesting interview with Bruno Maag the creator of Aktiv Grotesk, a typeface designed to provide an alternative and improvement to Helvetica. Creative review headlines it as the “helvetica killer”.

“Bruno Maag is so enraged by Helvetica that he has designed a typeface aimed specifically at wiping it off the face of the planet.”
