The release of the new Lumion rendering application from Silex3D has indeed raised some interest, and certainly based on the the tech animations they have been releasing we want to know more about the product including how it works! Lumion is meant to be a 3D visualization tools targeted to Architects and such who need visually interesting cg animation, but may not have the time or experience to create them. The key to Lumion is its simplicity, and it is its simplicity that is shown in these tutorial videos below. If you have any interest its worth a look to see how dead simple it is and how great the final results look… Its very much like a simplified game engine development kit.
