Ivan Krushkov with a quit tip using Maya and Mental Ray’s mia_roundCorners to create rounded or beveled edges to geometry at render-time rather than burdening the geometry with more faces while modeling. mia_roundCorners works really well for object that may be off in the distance… a great way to get treated edges basically for free.
