ticket01 shows off the boole plugin for maya

Ticket01 posts some demonstration videos from their new upcoming plugin for Autodesk Maya called Boole which is still currently in beta. Boole is a plugin that extends Maya’s Boolean capability (if you have ever tried booleans in Maya, then you have already found them to be extremely rudimental, and barely useable.). I have been using the Boole Beta and I must say in terms of use it is both impressive and incredibly flexible, as you will see form the videos below.

If you are unfamiliar with Ticke01, they make some really great plugins for Maya such as Stitch– an easy way to create seams and stitched seams into objects, and Konstrukt -a Geometry Deformer that works like an object magnet that can attach and project all kinds of geometry onto a NURBS surface, and many more to check out.

“Boole for Maya is ticket01’s plug-in to perform high-quality boolean operations on polygonal objects. It has full support for the Maya history and smoothed meshes. It supports interactive switching of the operation as well as interactive editing of operand objects with immediate feedback.”

It still bugs me that we still have to rely on 3rd parties making the tools that by now, after 10 versions, Maya should have. But thank goodness for those dedicated souls who do. They are the Lifesavers!
