Laurence Grayson from ShortFormVideo with part four of a four part tutorial on “crapping up” good footage in After Effects, that is to say – taking perfectly good progressive footage in After Effects, and re-interlacing it to make it look more vintage, poorly shot or distorted. In this last part, Laurence demonstrates two more techniques that you can use to give that techy grunge look.

“In the fourth and final part of this series, I’ll show you two more techniques that you can use to give your projects that tech grunge look. The first is a travelling black bar (like you get when you film old CRT monitors), the second is a quick way to create a colour separation effect.”
