Stefan Surmabojov looks at methods for tracking footage that may be out of focus using Mocha for After Effects (mocha is really great at this) and then creating and attaching a hovering style interface for the track in After Effects to finish the shot. In this tutorial we are going to take a look at a simple, but interesting idea. The main point will be to show you how to work with footage that is out of focus making if difficult to track. After we track it we are going to attach the camera interface elements and fake some depth of field to create the illusion that they are floating in space and shift in and out of focus like the rest of the scene.
