Creating a Running Raindrop animation using After Effects & Trapcode Particular

I always look forward to a Jake & Dan post as they always have well thought out and well presented tips while providing resource downloads – so great! Jake and Dan take a look at creating a Running Raindrop animation using After Effects and a Trapcode Particular Rig to create the matte for the moving rain. Check out the tutorial for creating a Running Raindrop animation using After Effects and Trapcode Particular here along with the downloadable project file.

Jake & Dan write: VFX veterans might remember Andrew Kramer’s tutorial on rain droplets. We needed the effect of running raindrops on a windshield in a recent project and decided to take the effect a step further. Reusing our After Effects preset for the raindrop look, we created a Trapcode Particular rig to create the matte of the moving raindrops.
