This is kind of cool, Pete Stache has scripted a way to create keyframes based on a piece of audio in After Effects and bring those automated keyframes into Maya with an After Effect to Maya Audio Keyframe Converter script. With AEtoMayaAudioKeyframeConverter script you are able to generate Maya keyframes based on audio keyframes by way of After Effect’s Audio To Keyframe Function.

AEtoMayaAudioKeyframeConverter script will generate keyframes from audio in After Effects to a control Null that you can import into Maya with the same attributes applied, and use those keyframes for… well in Maya anything.

Check out After Effects to Maya Audio Keyframe Converter Script here.

Pete Stache writes: A quick tutorial for an After Effects javascript I wrote. It does exactly what it says. The Audio to Keyframe function in After Effects is awesome and now you can convert it to Maya.

One bug is already known: When you try the script for the first time after launching After Effects it somehow stops after the import.
Easy solution: Run the script again and it works fine
