Mary Poplin shows most everything that you need to know about Mocha Pro 3’s new Camera Solver (in ten minutes), where Mary actually stresses that is is a “3D Camera Solver” and not really a Camera Tracker. Mary labels it as a “camera Assist” where Mocha will give you a camera in other applications developed from the planar data provided by Mocha Pro.

Mocha Version 3 has been out for a while now, and has included many many many workflow and timesaving improvements as well as some great new features such as the ability to solve for camera motion data which can them be brought into any composting or 3D application.

Mocha 3 has added:
• New Roto Tools: Transform Tool and Join Layers designed to  edit roto more efficiently
• Layer Management: View, organize, color code and group layers
• Project Management: Easily merge and share projects between artists.
• 3D Camera Solve: New 3D camera solve functionality for After Effects, Nuke and FBX.
• Dope Sheet: new keyframe editor simplifies animation retiming, copy & paste.

If you are so inclined, there have been previous posts on this site showing the Mocha Pro 3 Camera solver in action, check out CAMERA SOLVING FOR MOVING OBJECTS IN MOCHA 3 and TRACKING DIFFICULT SHOTS WITH MOCHA PRO’S NEW CAMERA SOLVER.
