Pilgway posts a multiple part look at using 3DCoat’s Voxel Sculpting to create a 3D character, showing that Voxel Sculpting and dynamic mesh tessellation are really 3DCoat’s specialty.

With this look at Voxel Sculpting using the Mannequin Preset in 3DCoat as a starting point, there is also a look at using the Pose tool and Move tool to block out the rough forms, as well as a look at the different methods to merge layers and objects, using the Fill and scrape tool, and the various sculpting brushes available in 3DCoat.

As luck would have it, 3DCoat is on sale from December 18 until January 7 2013, offering $70 off on 3D-Coat Professional, therefore lowering the standard price to $279, and $20 on 3D-Coat Education making it a great xmas gift!
