Creating and Rendering Plastic and Glass Typography in Cinema 4D

Ratemyfuneral’s Rory Martin inspired by an image he came across of some exploded view type made from plastic and glass shows how to parametrically create the image in Cinema 4D.

In this Cinema 4D tutorial we go through creating a cool text effect where the glass front is separate from the hollow plastic backing

Rory shows how to create the exploded view of the text from modeling, shaders and rendering, and uses an Xpresso set up so that the text can be changed easily, propagating the changes all the way down the scene.
