Autodesk is planning for a March 26 / 27 reveal for the 2014 software releases with their “Unfold” event, and in anticipation, teases a few short videos showing some select new features in Maya, Softimage and 3ds Max.

Autodesk as been hard at work on 3ds Max, Maya and Softimage and we’ve been allowed to slip a few sneak peeks out here and there on some of what we are playing with

3ds Max appears to see a performance gain using the Nitrous viewport, and demonstrates significantly improved large scale scene navigation performance from the sneak peek video, and Maya gains a native and traditional Grease Pencil tool, while softimage sees the addition of an animation sequencer.
