Ensar Yanar shows a quick method for creating a pitted surface in Cinema 4D with a few modeling operations, and as an example, creates a golf ball in record time.

Here is my way of making a golf ball model in Cinema 4D. I’ve found this way nearly ten years ago while i was making experiments about modeling tools of Cinema 4D

Ensar simply triangulates the sphere to start off the golf ball, then its simple a matter of extruding the point selection, and using extrude inner to control the subdivision results.

Scaling the sections in then creates the suppressions for a quick and easy method for creating pits which can be used for any hard-surface model really, not just a golf ball.
