CreativeTools have released another interesting tool for Cinema 4D, called Maze Trace, this plugin will allow you to create interesting splines as a series of connected pipes.
The “Maze Trace” plugin connects the points of your objects with their nearest neighbors, generating interesting and complex-looking splines
Maze Trace has two operators along side, with the Maze Trace Generator and the Point Trace helper. The Maze Trace generator will take polygon objects and connect their points together to the nearest neighboring point using an algorithm, while the point trace can generate random points on the surface of an object that can then be used with the Maze Trace generator.
The plugin will work with C4D versions R12, R13 and R14, however, CreativeTools notes that it has only been tested with C4D R14. Check out the Maze Trace Plugin for Cinema 4D here.
