From the mind of Nik Ska who brought us the Gridder Script for After Effects, comes his latest, Shape Repeater Baker which will allow you to create individual shape instances from a shape layer repeater in After Effects. For you Cinema 4D users out there, it is kind of similar to C4D’s Current State Object.

Shape Repeater Baker is a tool to create individual shape instances from repeater

The script will bake the After Effects Shape layer’s Repeater attribute, into individual groups under the layer, Simply group all the properties you want to bake above the repeater, select the repeater script, and hit Bake Repeater. If you want to remove the repeater after the baking process, there is a checkbox that will allow you do do so.
