Taking a look at how to populate and animate a large number of objects in After Effects using AE Expressions, Bryan Clark shares a time-saving workflow technique that creates and controls many objects in After Effects without a lot of keyframes.

an expression to improve workflow, which comes in handy any to populate the screen with a large number of elements (e.g. filling the frame with photos, or animating info graphics, etc)

By animating all components with one control layer in After Effects using the ValueAtTime & delay expressions, Bryan notes that using this technique you are able to easily and dynamically edit the animation by adjusting a few sliders in After Effects.
