Mikey Borup posts a look at using the After Effects Puppet Tool to create some secondary motion to an animation, and in this case, Mikey is animating an illustration from Adobe Illustrator, connecting two electrical plugs together, then pulling them apart.

Using the puppet tool for subtle animations, plus a sneak peek at a couple of new presets i’m working on

Mikey demonstrates how to use the After Effects Puppet Tools to add motion to the electrical cords, adding so much more to the animation. He also takes the first five minutes of the tutorial as an opportunity to show some of the After Effects presets that he is working on, which look to be useful tools.
