Recently, RNDR.co has launched. Marking a new community where motion designers, visual effects creators, and 3D people can share what they are working on and get and provide feedback for others.

a place for VFX, Mograph, and 3D artists to show off short clips of what they’re working on

Think of it as a “Dribble” for animation, video, and motion.

The Idea behind RNDR is so people can get feedback, give feedback and improve.

The community was intently created for video artists only, and as put clearly on the site they are “keeping the other riff raft out”.

Rndr.co

Rndr.co is a place for VFX, Mograph, and 3D artists to show off short clips of what they’re working on and teach each other how to get better at their craft. I know what your thinking and no, this is not another video hosting site.

You won’t find any showreels or short films at Rndr. There’s already a ton of of great places for those videos to call home. What you will find is short clips of test footage, rough animations, and works in progress that need some peer review. This artists only community means that your work gets feedback from someone that knows what a keyframe is instead of some kid that thinks “Those VFX R Cool!!”

Rndr’s feature set is growing and soon (fingers crossed) there will be some cool ways to display looping VFX breakdowns, kick off an FX battle with other artists, and rate user feedback to reward and encourage helpful comments and critiques.

This whole project is a build it in your basement bootstrapped adventure that came together in about a year. Rndr may never be the next big thing but with the help of some great artists it can be a place for them to get better at what they do and make some BFF’s.
