Escape Studios 3D lead Mark Spevick offers a bit of an introductory look at creating a Houdini Digital Asset. The Asset in Houdini is a pretty amazing thing if you are not familiar with them. They can be described as having a bit of “intelligence” to them, where you can package a set a complex series of things that the asset can do.
Here, Mark walks through the process of creating a Houdini Digital Asset and then shows how you can transfer the asset right into Maya using the Houdini Engine Plugin.
