Masktracker+ from Mamoworld will allow you to use Ae’s Mask Tracker data. With the latest version of After Effects, you have the ability to track masks. This is a pretty amazing feature that works pretty well – It has saved me tons of time, many times already since its release.
MaskTracker+ turns the Mask Tracker of After Effects into a comprehensive planar tracking station
Wouldn’t it be great if you could have access to the tracking data that the Ae Mask Tracker is using? Mamoworld certainly thought so. MaskTracker+ breaks out Ae’s mask tracker’s limitations to only move masks. With MaskTracker+ you are able to use Ae’s Mask Tracker data to move other layers, create corner pins, stabilize pre comps and more.
MaskTracker+ for After Effects
MaskTracker+ will analyze the movement of a mask that has been tracked using the Mask Tracker feature in Ae, and reconstructs the data from it. It is because of this, that MaskTracker+ can work with any masks in After Effects, not just tracked masks.
You can use MaskTracker+ with masks that are pasted from Mocha, or masks that have been keyed by hand. The only limitation that MaskTracker+ has is that the number of mask points can’t understandably change over time.
If you are using the mask tracker, this can be easily achieved if you either don’t track perspective or use masks with straight edges for tracking.
With Mask Tracker+ You can:
Move layers Animate a layers position, scale and rotation based on a mask track
Corner Pin Create a corner pin based on a mask track. Just place the corners on the current frame where they should be and MaskTracker+ adds keyframes to move it with the mask. in addition to the normal corner pin also CC Power Pin and Red Giant Warp corner pin are supported.
Stabilized Precomps The popular stabilized precomps of MochaImport+ are also available in MaskTracker+. Track an object with the mask tracker and MaskTracker+ creates a precomp for you that shows a stabilized view on the tracked object.
In this stabilized setting you can do any kinds of modifications and everything you do is also automatically applied to the original perspective. This is a life saver for retouch, painting and removal jobs.
Stabilize Footage Stabilize shaky footage based on a mask track. MaskTracker+ can either eliminate the movement completely or create an advanced stabilization rig where you can fine tune the amount of smoothness for position scale and rotation independently.
Move Masks If you have several masks moving in the same way, you can save time by just tracking one mask and applying the tracking data from it to the other masks
