LipSyncr Offers Automatic Viseme Based Mouth Animations in Ae

Joachim Holler releases LipSyncr for After Effects, a new tool that allows you to automatically create viseme based mouth animations for your characters in After Effects. For those that are unfamiliar, a Viseme is any of several sounds in speech that look the same. If you were lip-reading, some mouth positions such as G, K, L, etc will look the same even though the sound is different.

Automatic high quality viseme–based mouth animations. In a matter of seconds.

Creating character facial animation in Ae has always been quite tedious. There have been a couple of solutions that will help automate the process, one that comes to mind is MamoWorld’s Auto Lip-Sync. Joachim led the team that created LipSyncr, that took almost a half a year in development.

LipSyncr

Lipsyncr uses a unique combination of Premiere Pro’s speech analysis and its own text analysis features simplify mouth animation workflow.

Using LipSyncr, you can create mouth animation in fraction of the time.

With LipSyncr however, you can analyze your voice recording in Adobe Premiere Pro, then create a template composition that has your viseme count in it.

Then you can replace the templates with your own images. LipSyncr then can animate the mouth compositions to the vocal track.

Key Features

  • Combine any number of audio files and mouth compositions
  • Three different viseme mappings: 4 illustrations (low quality), 7 illustrations (medium quality), 10 illustrations (high quality)
  • Template viseme images including illustration guides
