The CGI_School Channel on Youtube have an extensive and free set of tutorials for using the Xgen Primitives for Maya. There are 9 tutorials that will take you through using Xgen Pimitives in Maya, starting from the very beginning showing how to create Xgen descriptions.
The course is constantly being added to, and sits at 9 videos that cover Xgen description attributes, Generator attributes, region control in Xgen, guide animation, displacements, and modifiers. This is pretty much everything you need to get you started staining a deep understanding of Maya’s Xgen Primitives.
