ZModeler Fundamentals in ZBrush 4R7

Ryan Kingslien offers a look into using ZModeler in ZBrush 4R7. ZModeler is new tool added to the modeling pipeline in ZBrush. The brush is for, but not limited to low polygon modeling.

Ryan looks at some of the features of this new brush. This includes dynamic subdivision, Cube, QMesh, the inset functions, split, crease and more.

ZModeler is an all-in-one brush that adds to the standard polygon modeling methods. It allows you to access all the low polygon modeling functions in a tidy intuitive workflow. The new brush can handle adding and removing multiple edge loops, extruding more than one surface, subdivision modifiers, beveling and bridging holes.

If you want more examples of ZModeler in use, Eric Keller had a short tutorial showing off the new ZModeler Brush and NanoMesh to Create a Tentacle in ZBrush 4R7.
