Enhancements include major rendering advancements such as support for volume rendering via Open VDB 3.0, deep image output through OpenEXR 2.0, double sided vector displacements as well as vector displacement and a new powerful AOV engine. A new set of texture nodes is also available for look dev artists. Along with powerful file referencing updates and impressive speed and memory optimizations, Clarisse iFX 2.0 includes many workflows improvements.

Clarisse iFX 2.0 Personal Learning Edition

New to version 2.0 is a new Personal Learning Edition. The PLE gives you the opportunity to learn and explore, for free, all aspects of Clarisse iFX 2.0 without any limitation of time.

Clarisse iFX PLE offers most of functionalities of Clarisse iFX, noting these differences:

  • A watermark image appears across all displayed and rendered images.
  • Whatever the format, outputted images are systematically converted to 8 bits per channels.
  • You cannot write standard Clarisse projects or export geometry to WaveFront OBJ files from Clarisse. Clarisse iFX PLE has a special file format that cannot be read by the commercial version. However, you can load or import any files supported by the commercial version of Clarisse iFX.
  • Copying in the Clipboard is encrypted and you can’t copy and paste data from a Clarisse iFX PLE to a commercial version. However, you can copy and paste data from a Clarisse iFX commercial version to a Clarisse iFX PLE.
  • CNode and CRender don’t run in PLE.
