Easy Rulers is a script that allows you to create any type of graphical representation of a ruler in After Effects. The tool is from Real Creations, and it is great for making HUD’s UI or FUI elements, and instrumentation layouts.
A recent update to the script sees operations taking a speed boost. In fact, Easy Rulers is not 700% faster than previous versions. Now you can create hundreds of text and line layers instantly.
Also of note for the latest version is a new pointer option. This lets you have a pointer where you can choose up to 4 different shapes. New text alignment options will be a welcome addition for some.
Easy Rulers 1.6 also added a feature where you can apply colors, randomize them, and reset them easily. There are also some nice workflow improvements, such as using the keyboard to arrows change any value in the UI.
