Working With Substance Archives in Cinema 4D

Maxon’s Jonas Pilz offers another Cinema 4D Quick Tip, this time showing how you can work with Substance Archives in C4D. Since the release of Cinema 4D R18, you can now import Substance Archives natively in C4D.

Using substance in C4D will make it easy for artists to use materials in their own work,  from either the substance store, or other repositories.

C4D’s Load Substance command or the Substance Asset Manager will both load archives. From there you can use the material in your work, and adjust it’s values in the attributes manager.

Substance materials can be found at the Substance Source, Allegorithmic’s ever-growing content library for physically based, high resolution and tweakable assets for texturing.
