Modeling Your First KitBash Library in Cinema 4D

If you don’t know what a KitBash library is, it is a number of smaller hard-surface components that can be thrown together quickly to build completely unique and new models. The term comes from an earlier era of visual effects, where new miniature models were created by using pieces from a pool of commercial plastic model kits.

If you find yourself creating a lot of sci-fi or hard surface creations, it might be a good idea to amass a library of components and keep that close at hand. Motion Designer, Mario Brajdich certainly thinks so. Mario devotes part of his day to creating new kit bash elements.

Mario has started a new tutorial series that shows how you can begin to model your first kit bash library for your future projects. Mario covers creating all kind of parts and offers tips as to which ones work the best, and more importantly, why.
