Ivan Arsic’s “A Perfect Circle”

Recently I got very interested in creation of 3d forms using only mathematical formulas with none or extremely little “human” touch.

Few weeks ago I stumbled upon this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nms9ntdA2Wo) and was instantly drawn to replicate what i saw in it, but then i started adding a little more to it, and it was mostly stuff like sin function here and there, etc. but thats when it started to bloom when it went three dimensional, with few lights and most basic shaders (its allways just two basic shaders mixed using curvature, no textures used)

So most variations are achieved by using different multipliers and number of points on initial circle, and rest is just another few parameters in between, thats it.

Software:
Houdini
Redshift
Fusion / Resolve

Thanks for watching,
