Canon recently announced the 1D Mark IV a 16.1 Megapixel, manual exposure control and multiple frame rates 30p, 24p, 25p, 60p, 50p, 60p, 50p, and video can be captured at HD 1920 x 1080 resolution at frame rates of 24 (23.976), 25 or 30 (29.97) frames per second, for up to 4GB per clip.  The camera also does HD at 1280 x 720 (50/60 fps) or SD/VGA at 640 x 480 (50/60 fps).  Here is the thing, the ISO is 100 – 12800… thats not a typo.

Recently, Vincent Laforet and Stu Maschwitz tried the camera out, at night, on the streets of LA, using only natural available light…and the results were absolutely amazing. You can read about the endeavour on Vincent Laforet’s page, and on Prolost, and you can see the short film “Nocturne” in 1080p here.

Detailed information on the 1D can be found at Canon, and some press release info at StudioDaily.
