The simple and enticing fun of snapping Lego bricks together will live in all of us as a fond memory of creating imaginative models as a kid. Now you can enjoy the same feeling in Cinema 4D with the new BrickGen plugin from C4Dzone.

BrickGen is a plugin for Cinema 4D and above all a tribute to one of the most beautiful games of our childhood: the colored bricks. With this plugin you can have fun building objects with the 3D virtual bricks fully customizable. Cappellaio Matto – C4Dzone.com

BrickGen makes it easy to edit and build objects out of  bricks that snap together when they are in proximity of each other, bringing back that childhood feeling of fun and directionless creativity.

BrickGen can automatically convert an existing polygon model into bricks

BrickGen for Cinema 4D

BrickGen will allow you to place a brick form in the viewport, and parametrically change its attributes to suite your needs. The BrickGen brick will also automatically snap in place to other bricks in the scene, making it easy to create a model completely of bricks.

Bricks created by BrickGen will inherently have a pre-built UV map, making it easy to add image maps that will read correctly on the bricks.

If you feel like snapping bricks together might not be the best use of your time- especially when you should be working; You can also use BrickGen as a converter,  automatically converting an existing polygon model in Cinema 4D to bricks.

Drop in a model and hit the Brick-It button, and the model will transform into one built from Lego bricks. Depending on the size and complexity of the model, this can take a bit of time, but the results are impressive.
