Author Kevin Burke offers a new script for After Effects, MatchRate, that will calculate the rate of change between two keyframes, and with that calculation, can generate new keyframes. This is helpful for extending animation in both directions, and applying easing to extend animations.

You are also able to transfer one or all rates from MatchRate to other properties or other layers and their properties, and you can also invert rates to create more stylish animations.
