Andersson Technologies, maker of the low cost nut extremely capable match-moving software Syntheyes, will be showing off Syntheyes 2011 at Siggraph 2010 next week. Syntheyes 2011 release concentrates on set reconstruction, and with the new features, visual effects artists can create 3-D models of the set on which shots were originally recorded, as an aid to adding new effects such as CGI creatures, or enhancing the appearance of the set, for example extending it or enhancing the art direction. Compositing artists can use the new features to build layered 3-D environments as well.
