With the recent release of the 2011 Subscription Software Upgrades, and soon to be released Autodesk Maya Entertainment Creation Suite Premium 2011, the interop between Maya and Softimage has greatly improved with the inclusion of ICEflow.
ICE flow now gives users the ability to send data back and forth between Autodesk Maya and Autodesk Softimage , so that they can take advantage of both packages in their pipeline, and in particular the ICE technology. The workflow is very simple and works very much like Maya’s One-Click interop with Mudbox.
