Adam Heslop shares a little python script that he created for Cinema 4D, Turbo Join. Quite often when importing vector artwork into Cinema, splines will be disconnected, making it difficult to extrude or even close the spline shape.

I got bored of joining segments together of bad imported vector objects so I made this, it’s not the best thing in the world but might save you a few clicks

Turbo Joint will compare the position of all the vertices within a set tolerance, and perform a join segment command on them so that everything is all joined up. Adam notes, that it’s not a huge deal, but it is quite helpful in saving some time for this type of workflow. Check out the Turbo Join script for Cinema 4D here.
