Some 3D application will display visually what the 3D Camera’s angle and field of view is- which is really handy, however, Maya by default, does not. So Dave Girard created a Make Frustum script that will make a Nuke / Lightwave style visual camera cue.

It will accurately reflect what is shown in the camera according to it’s FOV/viewing angle

Make Frustum is pretty straight forward, it builds a geometric frustum for the selected camera, parenting the non-rendering template geometry under the camera in the Outliner. Dave notes that the script does not work with the camera’s vertical fitting, only the default horizontal. Check out the Make Frustum script for Autodesk Maya here.
