Jud Pratt recently posted a bunch of video tutorials on how to render from Autodesk Creative Products to the Amazon Elastic Computer Cloud (Amazon EC2), and even more recently he has posted a tutorial on how to render from Maya to the Amazon EC2 Cloud for a fairly cheap rendering solution.

Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) is a web service that provides resizable compute capacity in the cloud. It is designed to make web-scale computing easier for developers.
