Our new found friend Arvid Schneider is back with a quick tip on optimizing simple animation by using a Set Driven Key in Maya. In this case Arvid is replacing an typical animation that would use an Expression for the simplicity of an Maya Set Driven Key to make a rotating wheel.

Hello, welcome to this Quick Tip Tutorial. This time it is about optimizing simple animation steps.
Instead of searching for, or creating your own scripts to create a rotating tire this short tutorial will help you achieving a believable result with just a few clicks. No scripting, and definitely no stupid calculations of circumferences etc. Very simple very easy.
