If you do any type of animation in Maya, you will probably have noticed that there are some reoccurring shapes that come up in the graph editor during the course of creating animations. This is where Nils Diefenbach’s AnimGraph Curve Creator PyMEL script for Maya is helpful.

…This little script allows you to quickly create often used animation curves (like sin curves, ramps, bridges etc.).
It’s especially useful if you want to create walk and other cycles…

The AnimGraph Curve Creator will allow you to quickly create most often used animation curves for any transform channel at the click of a button.

The script creates curves such as SIN curves, Ramps, Bridges, etc. and is simple to use. Simply select the object or objects that you would like to key, then select the attrubute in one of the curve type tabs, and it will set the keys for you. this is a great way to get a quick starting point for common animations such as walks and other cycled animations.
