Motion designer and Visual Effects artist Erwin Santacruz (@990Adjustments), creator of Coolect plugin for Cinema 4D has developed another great utility plugin for Cinema “Pancake”, which will allow you to quickly and safely restore your Cinema 4D scene from your backup directory.
Pancake might seem like a strange little name for something so useful, however, Erwin responds with “because, who doesn’t like Pancakes?”. Very few I suspect.

Pancake for Cinema 4D has the ability to rename the restored scene file, and accommodates some control over your backups by allowing you to delete the original or all backup files.
Pancake will also let you create an archive of your backup files, and provides a menu option for opening the backup directory for convenience… Also, if that were not enough, Pancake Backup Restore for Cinema 4D is freeware and available on C4DTools.net here.
