Imagineer Systems‘ Mary Poplin demonstrates an upcoming feature in the next point release of mocha Pro which will allow you to export Distortion Map information from Mocha Pro to NUKE. and demonstrates how to create a Lens Calibration in mocha Pro, un-distorting footage and shows how to render the distortion maps out of mocha Pro for use in NUKE composites.

In this tutorial, Mary Poplin will walk you through a quick lens calibration and how to undistort footage, and then how to render distortion maps out of mocha Pro into Nuke

Technically, mocha Pro’s next point release will be able to render out and export lens data for any compositor that can read Rasterized ST maps, which would include NUKE, Fusion and Flame.

Also of note, Mary includes that the version of mocha for After Effects, mocha AE, now adds the lens module form mocha Pro, and also includes the mocha Lens Plugin so that you are also able to import lens data into After Effects.
