Instead of morphing from one face to another, we’ll morph from a wide shot to a close up. This will create a seamless transition between two different clips

Mikey uses the After Effects Liquify Effect to hide the fact that there are two pieces of footage, having it look like the camera is doing a quick push or lens zoom, creating a seamless transition between the two – really great technique here. Mikey notes that this is a great way to cheat tricky edits, also mentioning that this works really eel on green screen footage too.
