Creating a Hyper-Real Forest With Blender

The CG Geek Steve Lund posts the first two parts of what will end up being a multi-part tutorial showing how to create a great looking forest in Blender.

[pullquote]This Blender Tutorial series will teach you the entire process of creating a beautiful 3D forest scene.[/pullquote]

Due to the complexity of the tutorial, the series will span six videos. The first shows how to create the terrain and build the custom trees in Blender, making use of the skin modifier.

This isn’t the first time that Steve has presented a nature-render tutorial. In the past he has shown how to create an animated flowing creek with Blender. Steve also has created some realistic nature asset packs available for purchase.
