Working With Auto Orientation Expressions in Fusion

By November 12, 2016No Comments

VFX Artist Chetal Gazdar has been accounting both After Effects and BlackMagic Design Fusion expressions in his last few posts. A continuation on that front reveals how you can create auto orientation expressions that can be useful for many things in production.

The tutorial covers how to have auto orientation for an object along a path. For this to happen, Chetal uses the “Differentiation” concept, covering what is differentiation is, slope of graph, tangent, etc to achieve this bit of automation.

The support files for the tutorial are amiable for download here.

The Fusion Expressions series started with learning how to animate the hands of a clock, and then moved to use maths and trigonometry to create a pendulum and mechanical piston motion.
