Markus P. shows how to animate a knitting pattern with Bifrost using Fields.

We’ve seen this kind of thing a lot, especially in Side FX Houdini, but this new tutorial from Marcus P. shows how to create and animate a knitting pattern using Maya’s Bifrost graph.

Markus covers how to replicate a curve pattern in the Bifrost graph and then animate from a starting position. The key to the project is using Maya Fields. The last tutorial we saw from Markus showed creating a great-looking fern animation where fronds unfurl in succession.
