A Look at Mari Extension Pack 4’s New Default Objects

With the release of Mari Extension Pack 4, came over 50 new features and hundreds of improvements to the extended toolset for Mari. Along with big changes like the new layering nodes, came smaller ones too, yet just as useful.

Extension Pack 4 now ships with several default objects that can easily be added to the project you are working on, through the object menu. The pack comes with 2×2 and 3×3 tiling planes, a cube, a round corners cube, sphere, cylinder and a helpful shader ball.

Jens Kafitz walks through the new default objects in Mari and shows how you can use the tilting planes to quickly create tiling textures.

In this tutorial we are taking a look at some of the default objects that ship with Extension Pack 4 such as a tiling Plane to quickly create tileable textures etc.

MARI Extension Pack 4 is available now for €35 for a single license, or €250 for an unlimited seat site license. Visit the release notes for a complete list of features.
