Create Interfaces in Maya With This Free Visual tool

Tsukimi Yiandrew posts a new free tool for Maya that will allow you to visually create your own user interfaces for your scripts and tools in Maya. It’s called Interface Architect, and it can help you visualize the whole process of programming interfaces. With it, you don’t need to write any code at all.

Interface Architect offers some standard elements such as buttons, text, text fields, and a few different types of layouts. The tool lets you add your own customized elements into the interface by giving you the input of the element type and its attributes.

You can change around your interface designs within its own architecture structure. This means that you don’t have to keep track of your structure in the code. The interface making tool lets you preview your custom interfaces any time throughout the process. Once you are done, Interface Architect will generate all the python code you need. You can save it, or copy it into your own custom tools.

If you create lots of tools for Maya, this will be a great way to bring their features forward, with quick and easy to make interfaces for them. Get it here.
