after effects expressions for animation, an introduction

By November 2, 2009No Comments

Michael Coleman, product manager for Adobe After Effects with this hour long or so talk given at Adobe Max last month. Michael introduces using expressions for animation in After Effects with a lot of great things covered. As one of the most interesting things, the After Effects product manager also shows the transcribe feature in Adobe Premier, where Premier will physically generate text of all the words spoken in a video clip as clip metadata. He then takes that clip into After Effects where all the words for that video clip are written out as markers on that layers timeline the exact moment that they are said, and uses those markers to drive an event… that was pretty cool. Watch the video from the conference here.
