By means of what the kids are calling “artificial intelligence”, Igor Berezhnoy of Tilburg University created algorithmic programs that can identify trademark features of brush work revealing the identity of the painter, which he tested on digital reproductions of Van Gogh’s paintings successfully. Pretty cool, and on the other end of the spectrum, photoshop doesn’t know that I am clicking to get to the desktop, NOT trying to move a window by clicking too close to the 60 pixel window’s drop shadow… geez.
