A proof of concept video showing how to control Adobe Illustrator from a iPhone or iPod touch. The maker explains that there is no real practical use for all this, however i disagree. I think it would be amazing to have something sitting on the desk next to the keyboard that I can use in conjunction with what ever application that I am using on the computer.
Something that will let me select large icon tools quickly from an interface that I can make and arrange myself to suit my own workflow. That would really speed things up! Or I could even use this “something” with multitouch to turn around my Maya scene with one hand leaving the mouse free to model.
Yep that would be great… if it was some sort of “pad” that can sit on my desk… something larger than an iphone, but smaller than a laptop. I remember seeing this Lemur thing from JazzMutant, pretty cool, but it was a couple of thousand dollars, and it really sucks as a netbook, and it kind of looks like an oversized clunky iphone, and the Lemur can only be used as a control surface for dj’s, and it can’t make phone calls at all… and um, it doesn’t have a camera either – what a failure that thing was – fail fail fail. Yep, if only there was something out there that fit that bill even a little, or had that potential that would be sweet.
